Charles Goodman has been in the securities industry since 1986. He began his career with Paine Webber (5 yrs.), moved to Smith Barney (15 yrs.), then Morgan Stanley (4 yrs.), and finally LPL Financial in 2010, when he started his own firm.
Charles has an entrepreneurial spirit, with a background in the oil and gas industry and real estate, as well as ownership of several small businesses. He holds two engineering degrees (in mining and petroleum) from New Mexico Tech.
Charles has a boutique financial consulting practice, advising a select group of high net worth individuals and retirement plans. He has the CIMA (Certified Investment Management Analyst) designation from the Investment Management Consultants Association (IMCA).
Charles has two sons, who run the other family businesses, as well as two granddaughters. He and both his sons are Eagle Scouts. He has served Christus St. Vincent Hospital in Santa Fe in several board positions, and is Chair of Anchorum, the community health impact organization that owns 50% of the hospital. In his spare time he likes to travel and go on treks – including many rim-to-rim hikes of the Grand Canyon.
